Product Highlight
Hults Bruk axe heads are forged from customized high-quality steel, with an alloy specifically engineered for this purpose, providing exceptional strength and performance. The steel is produced completely CO₂-neutral and is fully recyclable. Each head is hand-forged using the open-die free forging method. The axe head is then hardened and tempered for long-lasting durability. With a hardness of approximately 54–56 HRC on the Rockwell scale, these axe heads offer superior sharpness and edge retention. This axe has a polished head with convex grind edge; it is designed to be profiled and customized by the end-user. As one of the final steps in the forging press, each axe head is proudly stamped with the traditional Hults Bruk mark - a symbol of quality and craftsmanship.

Recommend by Canadian expert Buckin' Billy a couple years back. Swedish axe designed for Australia hard woods. He builds up lots of vintage axes with similar heads. Watched a bunch of YouTube videos on Arvika. Used to come pretty dull and edge covered with thick wax to protect the leather sheath in shipping. Edge came pretty sharp. Many customize the profile and thin down the handle. I was concerned about needing to do that. Think the professional speed axe competitors do. The edge of bit looks a little curved in. And maybe the hang is a little curved the same direction. Combined, it is very little. Excited to do some splitting. Bought this and Grandsfors long splitting axe. Buckin' recommended to buy different splitting axes to try out. The Arvika is supposedly a great cutter/chopper, too.
