In keeping with the weatherproof nature of Typhoon, it is closed via a roll-top with quick-release buckles, making it waterproof for all but submersion (no roll-top closure can create a seal against submersion pressure).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the outside of the pack bag, two daisy chains accommodate the attachment of a variety of gear. At the bottom of each of these is an ice axe loop that tucks into a slot on the mesh side pockets, maintaining a sleek profile when not in use. Low on each side are two stretch-mesh pockets that will hold anything from water bottles and wet jackets to folded trekking poles and cameras.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCentered low on the outer bag is an integrated loop for a bike light (did we mention the 15 liter size is an excellent biking pack, no matter the weather?). Note that there are no zippered access points or pockets on Typhoon; they have been purposely eliminated to maintain unfailing weatherproofing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTyphoons suspension system combines an internal foam back panel for stability and load control with an articulated, airy spacer mesh facing the body. The mesh is comfortable next to the back, manages moisture and dries quickly. Anatomically curved foam shoulder straps are lined with stretch polyester for body-contact comfort and quick drying.
